Description
The Pioneer 287 five-channel cable protector provides heavy-duty protection for electrical cables, cords and hoses in areas with pedestrian and light-vehicle traffic. Its commercial-grade rubber base features five separate cable channels, while the hinged high-visibility yellow cover allows convenient cable installation and removal. Interlocking ends allow multiple protectors to be connected for longer runs across worksites, warehouses, facilities and event spaces.

Installation and Use
Install the cable protector on a clean, level and stable surface before allowing pedestrian or vehicle traffic to cross it.
- Prepare the Area: Remove loose debris and confirm that the installation surface is flat, stable and free from hazards.
- Position the Protector: Place the protector perpendicular to the expected direction of traffic.
- Install Cables: Open the hinged yellow cover and place cables or hoses completely inside the appropriate channels.
- Channel Capacity: Do not place cables or hoses larger than 1.4" (35 mm) in diameter inside the channels.
- Close the Cover: Ensure the cover is fully closed and securely seated before allowing traffic to cross.
- Extend the Run: Connect additional units using the interlocking ends when a wider crossing is required.
- Traffic Speed: Vehicles must cross slowly and must not exceed the maximum speed of 8 km/h.
- Capacity: Do not exceed the stated capacity, and consider vehicle weight distribution, axle loading and site conditions before use.
- Inspection: Inspect the protector, cover, connectors and cables regularly for movement, damage or wear.
- Important: This protector is not intended for high-speed roadways, uncontrolled traffic or use as a vehicle ramp.
